Kendal Mountain Festival annual river clean-up

On Sunday 23rd November, Kendal Mountain Festival The annual river clean-up will take place with support from Pyranha Kayaks and Palm Equipment We're delighted to be joined by the team from Dee Valley Clean Up , this year meaning we can get even more people connecting with the River Kent that flows through the Heart of Kendal.

We'll be meeting at Gooseholme Bridge and making our way down to Romney Road Bridge, removing as much single use pollution from the river and banks as we can carry.

Got your own boat? Drop them off from 1000 on the south side of the bridge on Little Aynam Road, drive downstream, park at Kirby Kendal School, walk back up and we'll be starting at 10:45am with a briefing.

On the bank, or wanting to join a raft? Head to Gooseholme Bridge for a 10:45am start. More info on rafting sign-up to follow shortly!

Unfortunately, the Environment Agency's work in the river (including a four year old "temporary" bridge) means that if the level comes up too much, we'll have to stay on the banks. Please keep an eye on social media for updates to this in the run up to the event.

Please make sure you have Cleaned, Checked, and Dried any equipment to prevent the transfer of invasive species - guidance on this here: https://www.nonnativespecies.org/what-can.../check-clean-dry.
